A patient teacher.
A problem-solver
by nature.

My working life has moved between mathematics, physics, engineering, and teaching. What I enjoy most is helping someone see the step that was missing — and watching a difficult idea start to make sense.

My mission is to make difficult mathematics and physics understandable, rebuild the confidence to try, and help students become independent problem-solvers.

From the classroom
to the real world.

I completed bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral study across mathematics and physics, with a doctoral specialization in electrical-engineering optimization. I also taught as a professor in Quebec, Canada.

For 30 years, I worked in industry as a software and hardware engineer. Across 10 years of teaching and tutoring, I have worked with students one-on-one and in the classroom, including work as a Mathnasium tutor.

Those experiences taught me to look for the missing step: the point where a difficult idea stopped making sense. Once that step is clear, the rest becomes something a student can reason through rather than memorize.

Today I offer one-on-one online tutoring for high school and college students: algebra, calculus, and algebra-based and calculus-based physics.
